Clitherow Class


The children in Clitherow class won a competition to have an artist spend the day with them working with clay. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and their models are waiting to be fired in a kiln and then they will be painted and glazed.

Visit to the Organ


Mr Howard took all the children to look at the organ in the Cathedral which is now completely restored. The children were fascinated by all the buttons and knobs. Some of the children tried playing the organ using both the keys and the pedals.

Williamson Park


Finn in Year 2 won the competition to name the Butterfly House at Willimson Park. He was invited along with his class and the School Councillors to have a tour of the newly refurbished Butterfly House. Tony the Head Zoo Keeper allowed Finn to release a butterfly into the house which had just emerged from its pupae.

Birdwatch 2010


Children from the Environmental Club went to Williamson Park to take part in the Birdwatch 2010. The children had to record the number of different speices they saw and how many in a set time period. Here are the children looking at their recordings and having a hot chocolate drink to warm up.

Pupil Voice


A group of children from year 5 spent the morning with children from the other catholic primary schools at Our Lady's Catholic College. They took part in a range of activities organised by the sixth form students, drama teacher Miss Bennett and some pupils from year 10.
