New Life



We have watched 11 eggs hatch in an incubator and it has caused alot of interest far and wide. There have been over 600 hits on our website from all over the world, Russia, Japan to name but a few. The chicks are now growing bigger each day and the children have enjoyed handling them.


Bike It



The children learnt how to take care of their bikes and carry out basic maintenance.

European Week

The children in year 5 and 6 spent the day at Lancaster and Morecambe College. They experienced a range of sports in the morning and spent the afternoon make a wooden tractor in design technology.

160 Years



The whole school with staff past and present and governors celebrated 160 years of education on thepresent site. The children were presented with bookmarks and a large celebration cake was shared by all.

160th Anniversary

On 17th February the school celebrates 160 years of education on its present site. There will be a special assembly and prayers offered for all those who teach and work in the school. A large celebration cake has been ordered and past members of staff and pupils have been invited to join us for assembly.

Skipping Workshop


The children enjoyed a day of skipping workshops with the whole school taking part. Some of the children in year 6 were very skilled at carrying out complex sequences.

Activities in the New Year


There have been lots of activities since the beginning of the New Year. The children in Clitherow Class have been busy making fruit kebabs and jam sandwiches related to their work on instructions.
